Clearing cache and uninstalling updates worked on my Motorola Droid. Yay!

Still no luck for me either clearing the cache and uninstalling updates or having google talk running in the background.

This is getting really old, it sometimes works and sometimes does not. As I type this now it's not working at all. Launched google talk, cleared cache again, power cycled phone, still just hangs up when I try to enter the market..WTF!

I found one thing that seems to work when the market hangs up. I use a task killer, and I end the market task, then go back in and that seems to work for me.

The clearing cache, updates for the market didn't work for me.

i deleted updates cleared the cache and now market dosent even want to start what the #%&@

Uninstall all market updates. Signout of gtalk. Turn ur phone off. Leave it off for 2 mins. Turn phone back on after 2mins. Go into ur sync settings, and re-sync everything. This procedure should work.

I still can't access the market. It says network error.

Have you tried resetting app preferences? Go to settings>apps>menu>reset app preferences.

This sometimes helps with Play issues.
