Why can't we all have ICS?

The only fair comparison to Apple and the iPhone is the GSM Nexus. Most other phones sport an OEM custom ROM not Android. AFAIK, it was stated on IO12 that the current Nexus line (Galaxy and S) will be getting JB this month directly from Google. The CDMA Nexus variety is not fully controlled...

    What Navigation App(s)?

Being a Sprint phone should come with TeleNav already installed. If not, you can download it from the market - sorry I shop, don't play so to me it'll always be the Android Market. Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2

NOVA 2 for Sprint HTC Evo 4g????

I don't understand your indignation here, the Sprint Palm Pre is not being made anymore, the company that originally produced it (Palm, Inc.) sold to HP who subsequently stop producing them. What do you expect Sprint to do, produce a replacement Pre for you out of thin air? Offering a Pixi...

    Just Some More Questions

Regarding the Google Play Store, most people - myself included - report success by clearing data and force stopping the app from the Apps menu. If that does not work, you can do a Google search for the apk and side load it to the Evo. This is what I had to do with my Nexus S, don't know if I...

    Not getting some text messages

I contacted Sprint and I got the usual canned response - the first we hear of these, no reported service issues in your area but we'll look into it. Has anyone else communicated with Sprint about this?

Wondering if Google spies come in here

Back in the days of TreoCentral we had Palm employees once in a while posting on critical threads being discussed on the boards. Is conceivable then that one (several?) Google employee may be assigned to occasionally scan the different Android sites and gather user feedback. So far however, I...

    Not getting some text messages

I agree: as you say, it has happened before. Interesting... we'll need more people to chime on this and see if there is a pattern.

micro usb issue.. Software or hardware?

I don't see how - or for what purpose - this would be the case. Another thing to consider here is faulty USB port on your phone. BTW, I've had no such problems with the different chargers/cords used on my Nexus.

Nexus S 4G locks up when sleeping since installing ICS

    Certainly the most logical explanation.

    Not getting some text messages

I don't see this issue at all while using the stock app, however when using SMS Popup sometimes it fails to alert me of some txt's but when I open the messanger app, they are actually all there... strange...

    Contacts messed up?

I don't seem to have much problem with the pic showing when I receive calls or texts: I also store all my numbers using 10-digits. What I have noticed since the official ICS update with the phone dialer app is that is takes longer to load as compared to GB. The delay is not huge but enough to...

Modified APK for SMS 160 character splitting?

The problem as I understand it is that Nexus development is done on and for GSM which deals with message splitting at the network level as opposed to CDMA which does it at headset level. When developing the CDMA version seems like most (all?) Google apps were simply copied from the GSM ROM and...

    Galaxy Nexus on Sprint

Won't be getting another Nexus as long as Samsung is the manufacturer. My experience with this and prior Samsung (Epic 4G) points to weaker GPS and radio and/or poorly coded radio drivers resulting in less reliable signal strength and stability as compared to my HTC branded phones (Evo and...

    New PRL
