Hello all.... So I THOUGHT I updated my phone to the new FC09 update via the XDA link (Which actually shows it as the "FC19" update) but once I rebooted....it still shows my Build as GINGERBREAD.EL30 (I though the update was EL30 to FC09) BUT it shows myBaseband version as S: D700.0.5S.FC19...

I think you need to backup all of your data...then go back to 100% STOCK! I think you need ODIN to install the files.... Google "stock recovery Epic 4G" and that should get you the files.... After that, you will need to figure out how to reinstall your old data.... Again..I still consider...

Awww...man!!! I thought "PAM" (phone as Modem) charges were gone with Sprint!!! I guess I never looked on the Sprint end! I thought rooting opened this option up via the "settings" option and USB. You know...I did connect via wirelss on OpenGarden and I was getting some impressive speeds via 4G...

Just to close this one out.....I wanted to install the new EL30 updte...so I figured I would start from EI22 and move forward.....Also...using NANDROID back up (I did a backup prior to this whole process) I was able to put back all of my app's and text/notes/pic's etc using the DATA RESTORE...

I get 25% off my bill W/ Sprint...and with the Sling Box app....the unlimited data rocks!!! BUT.....I hope they do add towers and update their 4G service....I have NO coverage @ home....my 4G dropps all the time! I wish I had the option of a cheaper plan with LESS min of talk time...

Search the web for "is my phone Rooted".....(Use "connectbot" from the market and search the web...you enter a command prompt and it will come bck with a $ or a # symbol...that will tell you if your rooted still) Maybe Superuser didn't uninstall? I remember installing GB OTA...and I had a HECK...
