Yep, that is exactly what I had to do. Full factory reset was the only way to get back wifi. Astounding first that one has to restore their phone to get basic functionality to work, but second, that this issue has been ongoing through other major OS upgrades.

Upgrade killed my wifi. Wifi comes on and then turns off on its own following completion of upgrade. Seems to not be an isolated issue as i have seen a few questions on the site related to the same issue.

Exactly the same problem with my S7 Edge. Called Verizon support and their suggestions were pretty much what I had already done. Seems this may not be an isolated problem.
