Tab S6: Factory Reset with Stock ROM and still getting "protected by Knox Cloud Service"

Re: Tab S6: Factory Reset with Stock ROM and still getting "protected by Knox Cloud Service" If I was the seller, I wouldn't take it back. It worked when he had it and now I've gone and buggered it up.

Tab S6: Factory Reset with Stock ROM and still getting "protected by Knox Cloud Service"

Re: Tab S6: Factory Reset with Stock ROM and still getting "protected by Knox Cloud Service" Checked with the seller. He bought it from Kijiji as well from the original owner. It's always been a personal device, never an institutional one. Last night's searching of the internet determined that...

Tab S6: Factory Reset with Stock ROM and still getting "protected by Knox Cloud Service"

I recently purchased a used Galaxy Tab S6. I was warned it had a warning about the bootloader being unlocked. No big deal. The seller couldn't remember his Samsung account credentials so we couldn't factory reset at time of purchase via Settings. No big deal. I went into Download Mode and...

Bell Samsung S6 and VM-605: bluetooth connection issue

I have a visor-mounted bluetooth handsfree device, the Blackberry VM-605. Great little device. Lasts forever on a charge, does just what I ask of it. Simple. Expect that my Samsung S6 (5.1.1) doesn't connect properly for media. If I want to listen to music, once I'm connected, I have to open the...

Win Samsung's next new phone from Android Central!

My S6 is a poor phone for the price: lousy battery life and no SD card. Not even water resistant (IP67) despite not having removal bits. I'd like to try out the S7 instead! Perhaps it is better...

    Rogers 5.1.1 available

Don't think Telus is last - still waiting on Bell to release this!

Battery has me already looking into the next round of phones

I'm one of the people that can confuse you then! I don't play much in the way of games but do stream music some times. I can get about 2 hours screen time and I'm usually charging it up again mid-afternoon so it will make it through the evening. Co-worker has S6 that goes for almost two days...

Am I expecting too much from this battery

Glad to hear others are having trouble with the battery on this phone. I've given up and just left all features on since I have to charge once a day anyhow. Attached is a screenshot of today's miserable performance.

Galaxy S6 uses two different camera sensors...Sony and samsung

It's seems likely that the EXIF is being written with Samsung because the photos were taken with a Samsung device - notwithstanding who actually made the chip. Just guessing though at possible explanation.

OneDrive is now my #1 battery drain.

Running about 3% for me. Just behind Android OS at 4% and ahead of Play Services also at 3%. I also have mine set to upload only when charging so I'm not sure what it is doing. Of greater concern to me is that it is the the app using the most mobile data. By a long shot. Already chewed through...

GPS/Location toggle requires root access for Trigger? What about Tectiles?

I don't think Samsung has changed NFC tags. They just produce their own now and have an in-house app that works with them. I noted yesterday that Google Maps can turn on location (if off) so perhaps having the connection to my OBD launch GMaps would be one way to get location turned on. Although...

GPS/Location toggle requires root access for Trigger? What about Tectiles?

I've been considering picking up some NFC tags to play with. Stuff like launching driving apps when I get into the car while turning off wifi. That sort of stuff. In advance of that, I started playing with the Trigger app and, in fact, most of the "profiles" I would want to set up probably...

My text messages are being received in my email inbox also, how do I turn this off?

On my S6 with Exchange running off of Office365, the setting to uncheck was called "Sync Messages" which, to me, meant the emails. But apparently not. I've disable that setting and my text messages aren't showing up any more and I still get email messages. Thanks for this thread! This problem...

What are your favorite cases for the Galaxy S6?

I've been lurking and watching this thread for a couple of weeks as I had my first android phone, Galaxy S6, on order. It has arrived and I'm quickly trying to figure out what case I'm going to get. I'm thinking about Neo Hybrid Metal. Can anyone offer an opinion on how easily that case comes on...

Suggested arm band to hold S6

I have an S6 on order (company phone so ordering through the corporate side of Bell so can't just grab one off the shelf, unfortunately), and I'm planning ahead on cases and such so I have them ready for when the phone shows up. Past experience tells me that I'm more likely to drop a new phone...
