I just updated to 8.1 beta on my Pixel XL. Something that no one else probably noticed is that the back button and multitasking buttons have both been moved sightly towards the middle. Only reason I noticed is because I have burn in on my Pixel (2016)! Just thought that was kind of interesting...

My Pixel XL (2016) has burn in on the screen but I just now noticed it on the status bar. They are offering to replace the device.

Is it an aftermarket stereo? You should take it out and see what the wiring looks like. Most likely they didn't ground it good enough is my guess.

I would guess you need some EMI shielding somewhere or maybe a better ground. That's really weird lol

Yeah I think it is the Sony stereo most likely. I still haven't gotten a new one though. I just have a pair of headphones plugged into the splitter and I wrapped the cables around the aux cord to keep it out of the way.

I've just been using the splitter with headphones plugged into one side. I'm not sure why that gets rid of the static but it was the cheapest simplest fix so I left it like that. Eventually I'll get a different head unit probably.

You said to put the resistor on the signal ground. How am I supposed to know that the signal ground is the copper on the outside of the two wires? Now that I know that it makes complete sense why the right side audio is gone. I'm a noob so you can't expect me to know everything. I was pretty...

I thought so. So what do you think this means? I don't really know why I'd only be getting sound from the left speakers.

Ok so I put the resistor on the white wire. There was also a red wire and a lot of open copper wire directly under the outside sheath. The static is gone but I'm only hearing out of the left speakers. I didn't do the greatest job getting the resistor installed.

I found a 5 pack of 10 ohm 3 watt resistors for $5 on Amazon. They'll be here Monday.

Alright so I've never done that before but would be happy to try it. Where do I buy a resistor?
