    Droid X2 First Impressions/Reviews

Some of these screens do seem to take time for the eyes to adjust. I had a similar problem when I switched monitors and also when I switched from an eris to a d2. At first the eris screen looked warm and easy on the eyes, and the d2 seemed buzzy and harsh. I switched back and forth, but finally...

Droid 3 leaked in Tutorial Vids

Now that I think about it, the on/off position on the D3 makes sense. I am always hitting the on/off button with my left index while typing on the D2.

    Droid2 Freezing

I also use the gingerbread leak on my d2, the first rooted one (build STAB) and I haven't had an issue with either wired or Motorokr bluetooth headphone.

    Cool stuff about Motoblur

It's funny because I never liked AOSP Gingerbread because of the theme, and when I got it on my old device I had to scramble to find a different theme because I felt it was hideous. That being said, the MotoBlur theme they put on Gingerbread is a huge success in my opinion. I am running the leak...

    Kinda slow and unsmooth

ATK has been problematic for some. Instead, you can use the Task Manager which I believe I saw on the X2. Keep an eye on some of the larger memory users and perhaps add them to the auto-end list. The apps on the auto-end will be killed after two minutes of screen off.

    Droid X2 First Impressions/Reviews

Probably mentioned here and in some other threads, but I have had great luck with JuiceDefender on my D2. Perhaps it could improve the X2 also. My D2 always seemed to have a significant drain if I drove with the phone in my pocket, it was at least 10%/hour without use. I mean, I had every sync...

    Droid X2 First Impressions/Reviews

I was watching a review and I see that the X2 comes with Motorola's new Task Manager. If you want certain apps to close when the screen turns off for 2 minutes, you can add apps to the auto-end list. Motorola Task Manager

Sliding open the keyboard will force it into landscape. Perhaps open/close it a few times. Not sure.

The Moto Droid 3 - what features do you want on it?

Some of the AOSP is pretty bad in my opinion and only tolerable with custom roms. Blur adds email push, better input field cut & paste controls, and the 2.3 stuff is visually appealing to me. I also like the new launcher, task switcher, and task manager. Oh, plus the battery manager. The rest of...

Gingerbread leak has a Task Manager

I imagine it will be on many Motorola devices which get GB. Here is their support page Motorola Task Manager

Stopped using Advanced Task Killer and here are my results.

FWIW here's a cool support page from Motorola: Motorola Task Manager

Stopped using Advanced Task Killer and here are my results.

The GB leak comes with a Task Manager, straight from Motorola. I like it because it makes it easy to see how much memory and cpu is being used. I use the Auto-end list because it makes a lot of sense in the way it works. You add apps to the auto-end list and it will kill them 2 minutes after...

The Moto Droid 3 - what features do you want on it?

I think if 4G was cheaper than 3G I'd be interested, but aside from current promotions, isn't 4G going to cost extra per month? I'm honestly not interested in paying more, even for faster data.

    battery savers and task killers

Motorola's GB comes with a Task Manager. I hadn't used one in a while, but I do use that one. It gives you the option to kill certain apps and services when you turn off the screen, which I'm not sure if that is a unique to that task manager, but it works really well in practice. My prior...
