doesn't really make a difference in battery life. after all, we paid good money for our phones and the QHD screen so why limit our phones to FHD IMO.

It seems my s6 edge drains lot of battery when standbying in nougat. Device idling is now on top of the battery usage chart besides the screen on usage. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Patience my friend. You will get it soon. Nougat feels a lot smoother than marshmallow on my S6 Edge. The transition is very smooth, but it looked like iphone transitions. The whole phone felt smoother and im getting way better battery life on nougat than in marshmallow. I can get 3-5 SOT now...

I have the total opposite experience. Phone feels buttery smooth. Crashes only like once in 2 months. Able to play demanding games smoothly. If only it has better battery life, S6 would be near perfect like S7. Maybe you wiped your cache too many times and your phones need to rebuild the cache...

Well if your S7 lasts easily a day i think the S6 edge can also last a day with a little help from the car charger. Usually my S6 edge gives me 3-5 hours screen on time per day depending on my usage.

Maybe its the night clock feature? That displays time during night time at the edge of the screen.

Looks like a battery failure. Send it in to a repair centre and get the battery replaced and for them to diagnose the phone further. Never seen any problem like yours.

Have you ever damaged your phone? Dropping it, dropped in water, etc.? Was your phone hot when it suddenly turned off?

If you haven't change the battery since you first got it, its time to change the battery. Make sure you buy original samsung battery or TRUSTED 3rd party battery.

If you stil have problems, best bet is to factory reset your phone. Cleaning cache partition shouldn't be done all the time. Once in a month is more than enough.

It really depends on your liking. The S7 edge has bigger screen and bigger battery. But if money is a problem, an S7 is ok. I liked the edge versions better. You'll get used to it soon. Go to a phone store and try both for yourself.

Just unroot the phone and factory reset it. Knox cannot be undone. Once it triggers, there is no way to untrigger it. And knox dont have anything to do with your battery life. With knox triggered, you cant get any official OTA updates but you still can flash the update. And knox enabled apps...

I dont recommend getting generic tablet like those. but if i have to choose, ill choose the hometech. Its has a more known CPU and GPU, it runs 5.1 instead of the jelly bean for the everest.
