Anybody have experience playing around with Android OS installed on non-major brand phones, the "cheap" made in China clone/phone type of products, (like Sciphone, hiphone, I-Star, Shenzhen, et al.).
I ask because I travel a lot and for $100 or so, it seems like a cheap way to keep a backup phone available in the event my phone is lost or stolen.
Yeah, Yeah... I know "you get what you pay for" and all those kind of warnings. I'm just asking for opinions of people that have actually used the cheap Chinese phones. If you haven't used or researched them please don't bother to chime in.
Thanks!
