Disable Music Controls?

Is there anyway to disable the control card on the 360 when I am playing music? It seems to be eating some serious battery.
I have blocked Music and Poweramp in the notification section but it didn't help.

I know what you mean. And it constantly wakes the screen. I usually do theatre mode but that's not a good option. I'll pile on and hope someone has a better answer!

If you dont plan on using it ever open the app on the watch then flick left and disable the app.
I have done that to the health stuff to improve battery life.

I am not given that option when swiping to the left.

On your phone open the android wear app, then look for music and disable it there.
