How often should I power off?

Newbie to smartphones -- with a new Moto E 2015 -- here. Clueless about whether I should just let it go to sleep and eventually lock overnight (on my wi-fi with smart locks on) OR power it off every night. Either way, I'll leave it plugged in overnight.

Thanks for any advice from people who know these things.

No benefit from powering it down. Resetting occasionally doesn't hurt it, but you're just as good leaving it on.
