Moto X video camera - front vs back question

Are there any differences between the capabilities of the front & back cameras of the Moto X when used for video? I know that front & back are 2MP and 10MP for stills. And that it can do 1080p videos at 60 fps (slow motion is fun!) but I couldn't find any references regarding video. I took a couple of short videos using the front & back & analyzed the mp4s using a codec tool & couldn't find any significant differences. But it doesn't seem intuitive to me that the higher density back camera wouldn't deliver better video than the front. Am I missing something?
