Guys. For the few out there that care... I have some great news. I switched to t-mobile a few months ago from Verizon. The phone worked enough... I would have to manually switch between umts and gsm; if the phone was in lte, it wouldn't register my phone number and couldn't get calls/texts. But since the update to 4.4.4, I can now leave the phone in automatic network selection because lte works!

Thanks for the info, that is good news as I have been thinking about switching from VZW to T-Mobile and was wondering how much of a hassle it would be to keep the same Moto X.
