disabling moto voice

Can Moto voice easily be disabled? And if so, would google now voice still work? I would like to only use google for voice commands. Thinking about getting the new moto x but I wanted to make sure of this first. Thanks

Yes, Moto voice can be turned off in the phone's settings. Once you do that, the "OK Google" becomes the default launch phrase for voice commands. There are advantages to both. With Moto Voice, you can customize your launch phrase and you can activate it even with the display is turned off or if you're currently using an app. With the Google version, the responses are much quicker but the launch phrase only works when your phone is turned on and on a home screen.
