Move storage from phone to sd card

Motorola Droid Maxx 2 purchased May 2016. How do I move apps from phone storage to installed sd card?

Welcome to Android Central! If you can't find a Move to SD button for any app in the Settings>Apps menu, then the phone doesn't support that feature. You'd have to root the phone and use an app like Link2SD or App Mgr III.

I was able to go in to storage in settings and move some apps to my SD card but very few were allowed. Let me know if you are still having issues and I'll try and explain the best I can how I did mine if I can remember lol.

If you're running Marshmallow you can use the sd card as adoptable storage.
