Why is my Droid Mini battery draining extremely fast?

Droid Mini suddenly draining battery extremely fast

Within the last 2 days my droid mini has begun draining battery at an incredible rate. The process that is taking the majority of the life is "Phone." I'm not sure why this is, because I haven't been using it at all to speak with anyone. Any idea why this might be?

I would start with a factory reset, and install nothing to get a benchmark of performance, do that for a day or two. Then install apps one at a time to see whats going on. Make sure the apps are from the original developer and not faked ones made to look like they are the right one.

How is your signal strength? If your phone, the actual phone, is using a ton of power, it could be a sign of a problem with the radio or antennas. Pop your phone into airplane mode for a bit and see what happens.
