Install of the OTA (2.2) with my rooted Droid

I'm running BB v.4 and got the OTA notice at 0130. I tried to let it run but it failed. I changed my current "update.zip" to another name and tried to run the OTA download via the forums here and still no luck. I have looked all around, as well as through the suggested threads and can't find any thing recent or useful for this update with the exception of running a custom ROM and that it may block the OTA. How can I run the OTA successfully?
