It is currently 1:16 AM EST on Weds night/Thursday morning.

I just went back to 2.1 via SBF. When I pressed the droid to activate my phone, i had connection problems. Tried option 1, failed. Seemed like the system timed out. Tried option 2, no luck.

Tried option 1 again, this time it sent me to a late-night vz rep. She couldn't pull up my account and said Verizon is currently doing maintenance. I should be able to activate in the morning. My poor beautiful useless droid

EDIT: Found a way around the activation screen. Stupid me, I forgot to panic AFTER Googling. Turns out if you are on the "Tap droid to activate" screen, you can tap the top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left corners in that order to get past it. Already re-rooted and titanium is doing its thing

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, I thought I really screwed something up but it was just Verizon being down for maintenance.

on the D1 you could hit the home button as well, not sure if that works on the X

It didn't for me, but when I woke up this morning my home, search, and camera keys were FUBAR. Replacement is on its way overnight via fedex... now.
