Whats up guys, im a regular member over on XDA, new here though.. I figured people would be interested in getting a copy of the legitimate update.zip pulled from the new Droid X OTA

Heres the link.. Just download it.. move it to the root of your SD Card, then go into the Droid X STOCK recovery and flash.. done deal

Update is 25.7 Megs, which is normal so dont be alarmed.. the 70 or so megs that were predicted are if you download Madden 11 which is a secondary download

Dont be scared.. using the stock recovery the update.zip has to be legitimate and signed by motorola which means its tamperproof

Enjoy the new OTA

so i copied the update to my sd card(still zipped), and went to flash it but i kept getting an error message. am i not doing something correctly?

are you rooted, and is your framework still stock?

hmmmmm...the most common error you usually see with manual updates is the file usually isnt named correctly, but in this case it was named correctly to start off with (should simply be named "update.zip"). also, make sure the zip file is in the root (main) folder of the sd card on the device.

its also possibleyou guys might have just gotten a bad d/l. i would tell you to try re-download it, but until it gets mirrored, it might take some time, as the original source is probably getting pounded.
