I agree, the developer deserve there credit and the apps worth a donation...

Besides I wont install any app from those file sharing site because it usually leads to a modified or hacked version of the developers app that allows a chance to have malicious codes to be added to your device and Bootstrap Recovery is given root access and boot management rights.

Do you really want to allow a app from a unknown source to have that much control of your device? I think not..

I'll donate to developer for the work given out of respect also.

No disrespect but thanks, but no thanks.

Developer is not asking a lot, only $2. It's not going to bankrupt you. I'd rather thank them by getting the paid version from the market then free one.

I hate coffee to ,,,, yuk :p . But I dont mind paying for apps to show my support for the dev.

The price is not even close to what it cost for my phone(s) but thats my $2 opinion on it. Others may vary , hahaha.

There are apps that are well worth it. Titanium Backup, Droid Overclocker by jrummy, bootstrap, and ADW/LPP depending on which one you like.

sad i dont drink coffee... did you know the developer originally offered this app for free?

There are a lot of dev's that offer their apps outside of the market for free. A developer of a program that has been widely used by rooter's and ROM flashers is available on his home forum for free, or for $2 in Market. They offer the application free of charge to the forum because it's members have helped with developing, testing and feedback.

The added bonus of using the paid Market versions is the updating. If you were to sideload Koush's Bootstrap from a free source, it may install and work just fine. When he makes some changes and releases a new version, unless you follow his work closely you may not know. The Market alerts you to the updated version so that you can stay current without having to watch his home forum or Twitter account.

I have all these apps, and if they cost me money, I gladly paid for them. Its a small price to pay for such quality apps. These Devs sometimes have no job other then to write apps for users, and we should take care of them. If you think 2 bucks is expensive for an app, then dont upgrade to the large big mac meal a few times.. there, apps now paid for.
