Re: I've had it.

OK.. I got it home but have to rush off to work.. Don't beat me up over my first attempt at doing this but here's my very quick unboxing to show that I actually own one now..lol

Good first attempt, doing the video is the first half of the battle, making the video good is the second. This: https://www.amazon.com/ATC-Universa...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU5365345 Is something everyone should have :D

Also, may want to edit out the first 36 seconds or so to protect your IMEI.

My first unboxing video was TERRIBLE!

Really not very good at all.

This one was better:

But clearly I don't have a career in unboxing videos.

Well I don't know crap from crapola about posting videos and yours is pretty fancy with music and the type on it.. Lol

I'll try to figure it all out at home tonight or tomorrow and put up a link to it

Re: I've had it.

Im in UK and Im running an Unbranded 6P. Like the OP, I too was absolutely fed up with carrier delays on updates.. especially Security updates, but also carrier bloat.. although the UK branded devices are no where near as bad as the US ones.

After using a Nexus phone for 4 weeks now, I could never see myself going back to a different brand of device.. I love pure google.. its awesome :)
Same here,I`m also from the UK and prior to my 6P I`d always had carrier phones..after around 6 months of use,my phone does not lag or stutter and has never let me down. If I lost/damaged my 6P the only phone I`d replace it with would be.....a 6P!...It really is that good, easily the best phone I`ve owned.

Have you had a chance to use the 6P yet? What are your initial thoughts?

Not yet.. It's sitting on the coffee table at home and I won't get to play with it till I get off at midnight tonight.... 😢

I can say this about it... It feels really nice in my hands and looks great. To me the back of it is really unique with the way the camera is on it, more so than any other phone I have seen in person. The build quality on my initial inspection is excellent, better than any glass backed phone out I have owned, handled. The screen looks perfectly flat, but will be able to see better when I fire it up tonight. There are no scratches, chips or indentations anywhere on it that I noticed.... It certainly feels lighter than my V10 and that isn't a problem at all.

Again I will be more able to make a better observation of everything tonight. I plan on getting everything transferred from my LG V10 tomorrow morning and give that one to my son to have.

Well I got it running and am posting from it right now. I still have a lot of tweaking to do but so far it exceeds my expectations.Call quality is excellent, and the same for the display.

I'll do a review later and try to edit my video better ..but loving it so far
