I've been doing some research on how to repair my phone. I thought I'd share the youtube guides I found.

I could not find a printable guide to doing this so when my parts arrive I will take plenty of pics and write one up for us here.

I got my donor phone in today. Water damaged but I was able to get it to boot. Power button is shot but I won't need it. The screen is in perfect shape and responsive. A well spent $15 so far.

Sadly I am still waiting for the tools I ordered. I'll post pics when done.

is scary... it boots and all but ALL the boot screens are black. Maybe after I flash a fresh install on it it will work right.

I had the 2.2.1 screen. New one is the 2.2.2

Recovery is black too....

I posted in another thread, but shipped mine to lg themselves. Virgin wasn't gonna do anything with it the way it was. It was the power button connector to the internal board lost connection(broke solder)
We'll see what they have to say about that as far as replacement or repair....

I needed one of these vids actually, I don't want to format and fix to send in my phone for a replacement. Just need to clean dust from under the screen :p
