Custom key combos

I got mine Friday and am loving it. One pain point is the keys that are "missing". I am a unix admin and for this to be viable to get any work done I am going to frequently need access to keys that aren't on the keyboard, most notably the "|" and "~" but others too.

Does anyone know of an app that would allow me to make custom key combos? For example I would like to say "ctrl"+"shift"+"q" = "~".

Surely something like this exists, right?

Looks like I had to google more, they already included what I was looking for. Just need to memorize them...

(I guess I can't post links yet but hotkeys exist for all the missing characters)

Same here, not having ~ ] ` is a disadvantage especially when VPN'ing into Nix boxes.
