Is the Galaxy Core a good phone?

Hello

I'm considering getting this phone as it is one of the only ones I can afford that actually allows me to use an SD card. But I do have some questions first:

- How is the general quality of it?
- Will it be getting Lollipop soon (which is pretty much the main reason why I want to get an Android phone)
- Why is this phone in the forum archives? Is it that old?

I'm wondering because I bought a Galaxy Ace back in late 2011 and it became rapidly void as in no updates/upgrades and its performances were rapidly overcome by newer phones which made apps creator make more performance hungry apps and making my Galaxy Ace pretty much useless very quick. I don't want to go through this again. If I'm getting a new phone, I'd like to have it for at least 2 years with updates and all.

Scroll down to "Samsung Android Phones" and look for the Galaxy Core.
See it there? Nope. It's a throw-away phone and will probably never get an update.
