suddenly my galaxy core has shut down.. and its switching on very rarely for sometime

Hi,

My Samsung Galaxy core phone got shut down all of a sudden. When I remove the battery for sometime and re-insert it sometimes the phone gets switched on for 5-10 mins, then switches off again.

I am able to charge the battery. Sometimes, when the phone does not starts, it vibrates and shows the samsung screen, but nothing else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have bought a new battery. For about a week it worked fine but again it is getting switched off again and again.
What could be the problem?
