Note 4 Need advice on best buy protection plan

So I picked up the beast today. I also got the 200 protection plan.

The thing is its 200 and thereally is a deductible of 150 if screen cracks.

I usually keep my phones in good condition.

I have 14 days to decide.

Should I keep it? It is a lot of money.

If you drop your phone a lot yes I would. I have jump with t-mobile while I don't drop my phone I have it since it's only 10 a month and you get insurance for drop and lost or stolen and can upgrade once you pay 50%

IMO - self-insure risks that you can afford and insure the catastrophic risks.

personally i would nix the insurance, get a good case, take care of my device, and apply the $200 savings towards my next device.

Square trade is $99 for 2 years. Only a $75 deductible. I have never used them, and I never get insurance. However, my thinking is it would be nice to have if i am going on an edge plan.
Anyone ever use square trade and like it?

Square trade is $99 for 2 years. Only a $75 deductible. I have never used them, and I never get insurance. However, my thinking is it would be nice to have if i am going on an edge plan.

I have sqare trade, but for a hdtv. Got it to extend the warranty on it. Have not had to use it yet. But it's there and it added 3 yrs to the 1 yr warranty the tv came with.

They told me I save 40 if I paid in full (200) definitely canceling it.

That was probably when their plans didn't have a deductible. I have the same plan on my Note 2 also. I just got it replaced and got my 1 free battery before I cancel it when I get my N4.

From what a BB employee told me, their plans are about to change again on the 26th and it will cover loss and theft too. No way to grandfather the old plan to your new phone in case anyone was wondering.
