Better protection than the Hyperion but only 2 color options. But, full coverage screen protectors will get lift with this case. It'll provide better protection from drops than the Hyperion.

I was thinking about getting the Hyperion. Do you charge the battery in the phone or does it come with an external charger?

Cause I read you are supposed to charge the battery for 12 hours after you first get it and I don't want to have my phone plugged in for that long.

it is. I explained it in another thread but yes. Order seidios extended battery back plate through customer service. Order the extended active case. Should fit perfectly

Edited first post so it answers some questions. Hyperion 4200, Anker 4400, QCell 4200 will fit inside the Seidio battery cover. Will test Mugen 4600 when it arrives

I have the Seidio 3500 battery and back plate, along with the Seidio Active Extended case with kickstand. Works well, but looks like the Hyperion 4200 is the clear winner in terms of capacity, and for $25 I think I'll order that one too, since it will fit with the back plate & cover I already have - will make the Seidio the 2nd battery to carry.

And QCell... This was the first extended battery I got for the Samsung Galaxy S3, and once I saw that I was cheated, I decided to test and review all the batteries I could.

Interesting. I do agree with you with the QCell scam. They had to change their original 2300mAH listing to 2100mAH after somebody peeled off the sticker and it was labeled 2100maH. As for the Seidio I don't think you can really call it a scam. They are providing 97% 3500mAH as you stated, its just that they're not utilizing the full size of the battery. If what they are advertising is true I'm all for the company. At least they're not cheating us by advertising a false capacity.

Thats a thread for extended batteries. You should be able to find several options on there. I usually lurk around the XDA forums so any questions on other forums might be slower than asking me on XDA

Nice write-up! I've been considering an extended battery, and definitely don't wanna waste my $ on junque like the QCell. That's ridiculous. I've seen the reviews on Amazon.com, which mention similar results.

That's only the case - the Seidio battery cover is required, too. I can't post links yet, but go to this tinyurl to find the Seidio battery cover (it's hard to find on the site, took me a while) dxc4fgy. The Seidio battery cover should work with the Hyperion battery.

I did how ever stuck some felpro gasket sheet for cars to make it snug. If you fold a piece of paper together and tape it to the battery's back it will be snug and the battery won't move with the back. Just my 2 cents hope it helps
