Text message problem

Is anyone else having a problem where the notification sound for a text message doesn't play? I've checked all settings and can't seem to find a solution. Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

having the same problem as of this time. while searching for a fix, i found an advise on doing a factory reset. i haven't tried it yet though. planning on getting it checked by samsung here. what about you? have you gotten it fixed?
