so Saturday my phone got wet not entirely but the bottom half of my phone was just dripping once i picked it up idk for how long but it got wet. i brought it home and tried charging it but i have a feeling that wasnt such a good idea. i took out the batter and the back part and the SIM card and got the phone and just stuck it in rice . its been in there for almost 2 days. what should i do ? will it actually work after i take it out ? how long do i wait? any suggestions on what i should do ?

I have dropped a phone in water. Now that it's dry, plug it in, turn it on, expect the worst and hope for the best. Good luck.

Trying to charge it was definitely not a good idea. You may have fried it's private parts. Immersing the entire phone and battery in rice in an airtight container for 24-48 hours immediately is always the best first aid for a phone that's gotten wet. After that put it back together and give it a try. It's pretty much a pass/fail at that point. Good luck.
