Twitter and Swiftkey Play Store errors

I'm using a Galaxy S3 (I9300) on SlimKat 4.4.2 build 5 and I've encountered quite a peculiar problem when trying to download Twitter and swiftkey from the Play Store: it tells me that I have insufficient storage left when in fact I have a little over 8 GB of storage left. Is this a ROM issue or a Play Store issue? Please help me out I really miss having these apps
