Keep getting this notification from Facebook when my phone has been restarted.

Anyone know how to stop it?

When I select it, it takes me to some kind of Facebook mobile page (not the app) and it wants me to let my S4 have access to all my friends in FB etc but I don't want to do that.

Either uninstall Facebook or sign in and turn notifications and synchronization off.

Yeah. You've got Samsung to thank for this. It's not a bad thing if you want TouchWiz to talk to Facebook. But I don't. :-/

I am already logged into the app and turned off sync but it has had no impact.

Yeah me neither ! Seems almost forced in a way, with this notification constantly appearing until you actually accept it !

I keep getting this same message. If I go into accounts it gives me the option to remove account but I'm not sure what that does? I have notifications and sync off

Well spotted ! I hadn't even thought to check the accounts settings menu.

Unfortunately I just removed my account and it signed me out the Facebook app, when I signed into the app I got the 'Sync' options which again I chose to 'Not Sync' - restarted my phone and low and behold got the notification again.

I think it's a bug as it should not notify you of this once you have chosen "Do Not Sync".

Is there any downside to syncing, though? What does it actually do?

Just sign in, it just makes it easier for apps and games to sync with Facebook for score posting and other things related to connecting to FB
I have connected mine, and it wont continuously sync (you have to turn the option off from the Facebook app itself)

You have to Freeze "SNS" via titanium back up and be rooted

the SNS has a facebook icon to it

There's newer threads on this topic with a much easier solution. Just uncheck the Notification ability of SNS, or Disable it altogether. You don't need TB or root. It's not a protected app. ;)

yep, you do have to be rooted to freeze apps in TB
