Stuttering Notifications?

Recently, I have noticed that when the phone is sleeping and a notification (with sounds) comes in, the sound is often punctuated with short pauses. Any suggestions on what I should be looking at to fix this?

I noticed that too when I had mine and the issue was that I was storing them on the SD Card. Is this your case as well?

Also, if not using 'stock' sounds that's when that would happen. But at least in my case, moving my audio files to the notifications folder in the phone's storage seemed to get rid of the issue.
