Hey guys,

Appreciate any help I can get on this have researched and tried everything I can so far. Story is a used S4 flashed to pageplus bought off ebay. Worked great for twoish weeks then only thing i changed was using a 2amp charger( the one that actually comes with the phone) over a 0.7 amp charger. In the morning the phone basically wouldn't respond and could not get it to turn on or charge. Figured it was charging port so ordered and installed a new one, did not work. Tried charging the battery through a wall charger and got the phone to respond to charger and turn on for a few minutes. unfortunately phone got super hot in front and back in the motherboard area under camera and shut off and has not responded to anything since. no lights or anything. Only other simple fix i can think is to try a new battery.

Welcome to Android Central! A 0.7 amp charger might not give quite enough juice to charge, especially if you're actively using the phone. And I agree, a new battery is worth trying.
