Why has my S5 mini touch screen stopped working?

s5mini touch screen has stopped working

Hi i have a samsung s5 mini less than 6 months old and the touch screen has stopped working but all the other buttons work can anyone help please thanx

Welcome to Android Central! This persists after a reboot? If so, the touchscreen digitizer has probably failed. Any drops, trauma, water damage? If not, then contact Samsung for warranty repair, since the phone should still be under warranty.
