Should I wipe dalvik cache on Lollipop?

Link2Sd etc has option of wiping dalvik cache even on Lollipop with art. Should I do it or not? Why yes/not?

I always wipe cache periodically to free up space. Whether it speeds up the device or not, I dont know. ...placebo effect?
