Help!!

Okay so, my s5 has the latest update. And for a while, I would still be able to just have the emoji icon right there instead of the mic. But I had to reset my phone and now no matter how many times I use emojis, the mic stays there. Is there anyway to change this? I text fast and so having to slow down on order to pull up the emoji page gets annoying after a while.
