Portable as in a "battery bank"? I've seen a few - just look for Qualcom quick charge or fast charge 2.0.

Im going to reply because im interest in that plus....what about a car charger? Can I use what I have been for my s3? How about my old mophie, can I use that?

Do you need to use quick charging devices to protect the battery?

I have this and it supports Quick Charging. It's the only one I could find on Amazon that is certified with Qualcomm.

There are also numerous Quick Charge car chargers, such as this.

Quick charging doesn't make it better for your phone, it just means your phone will charge faster. Your phone will charge and your phone is fine using your S3 charger, it just takes a lot longer.

Samsung also sales a quick charge car charger. I ordered one today for $30 with shipping and a 35% off coupon.

It maybe quite expensive however I like the Chi Stone+ from Fone Salesman 4400Ma Wireless Charger which can charge your S6 Edge wirelessly whilst charging a secondary handset at the same time oh and whilst also connected to a USB charger .
