Why is my data being used up so quickly
I got an S6 about a month ago, with a 2GB plan, the same amount of data coverage that I had. In the years I have had a Samsung Galaxy (nexus forward) I never had a problem with data overusage. Then I started getting notices about 3/4 of the way through the month that I was nearing the end of my data usage. So I doubled it to 4 GB. And now, three weeks into the month, I am told that I have used that up.
I don't consider myself a heavy user. I use my phone for:
Phone calls
text messages (much less than before)
Words with Friends (60-90 min. week)
Milk (Samsung radio) (less than an hour per weeek
Google News
Occasional Facebook (more often I use Facebook on my desktop)
Occasional photograph (a few pictures every few months).
I don't play games.
Also, I don't know if this is relevant, but I have discovered that when I turn on my wifi, it sometimes blocks some apps (Milk, Google News) from working.
I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to find out what is the problem? Thanks.
