I've had Android/Plantronics combos for years now. Back when I had the S2, the Plantronics voice prompts were the default. Moving to the S6, I lost that, because (apparently) the baked-in Google prompts took over. For example: the Plantronics' opening prompt was "What would you like to do?" Google prompt: "beep".
Me: "Call Sadie Stanton." Plantronics: "Placing call to Sadie Stanton." Google: "plink."
Big difference when driving is, if there's some confusion over who you meant to call, that "Placing call to ..." gives you a heads-up. A little"plink" tells you nothing; you find the system heard the wrong name only when the wrong person picks up the phone.
Is there any way to set a preference for which system's prompts I want to hear? Tell Google to take a seat and let Plantronics do the talking?
Thanks!
