Why doesn't my galaxy s7 edge charge or give a wet chaeging slot indication after submerging it?

I had used my galaxy s7 edge In a pool and submerged it maybe 6 inches at most for about 10 minutes. When I got back to my hotel room, I found that the speaker didn't work well as I suspected, but also it didn't charge not give me a low battery indication. I waited maybe an hour trying to get the water out but to no avail. Any advice or help? Thanks

Yeah. You have to let it dry for at least 24 hours before trying to charge it. It not charging is a safety measure put in place by samsung so it doesn't damage the phone.

Yeah I would wait for at least a day.
