SwiftKey has become unusable

I have happily used SK for years but about a month ago it started acting weird. Not inserting a space between words, double typing initial letters, etc. I wrote to the developer and they said they were "aware" of the issue(s) and were working on it. No ETA however.

Here's what I received:

I'm just wondering if this is an isolated problem or if any of you have been experiencing the same issues. If you have, please contact the developer so the realize how bad a problem this really is.

I've also been having this problem. But it's so sporadic that I never really stress it. Just randomly I'll be typing a word and when I "space" and start typing again it just enters the same word again so instead of "almost there" I'll end up with "almostalmost" it's weird.

I put up with this crap for awhile, waiting for an update to come. Every time I would type anything I had to go back and make corrections. Finally switched to google KB and it is working so well I will not be going back.

I switched to the Samsung keyboard because of the double issue. Was taking me longer trying to figure out how to fix it rather than sending the email itself

So far this glitch only happens on desktop sites for me. Any other app the keyboard works as it is supposed to.

Yep. Went back to the stock Samsung keyboard. If your using any of the Material Dark themes, the stock keyboard is great.

I have never used anything other than Swype. Ugh!

Yep i too noticed it which only happens when I am using the email app....

I have just learned to deal with it and i know it will be sorted at some point.
