S7 Apps dock (bottom row)

I've switched to the S7 after years of HTC phones.
So far, so good. I'm liking the change.
I love how I can change the screen grid, and have this set to 5x5.

The Apps dock on the bottom row looks huge in proportion though.
Is there any way to adjust these to smaller icons?
I just have Phone Camera & Apps in there and it feels like they take 20% of the screen!

You can use a third party launcher like Nova

Might not be what you are looking for, but put 4 icons in the dock and they will resize smaller. Just drag and drop 2 more onto the dock.

That does work, they're a bit smaller when it's full with 4+Apps launcher.
Not quite what I wanted, but might have to do. Thanks for the tip

Nova Launcher - you can do whatever you want with it, ultra customizable.

I was in the same boat until I realised you could drag and drop upto 4 icons. Now the dock icons are the same size as the others. Works for me and looks better too. Might not be for everyone though.

OK so maybe I should look at Nova Launcher as an option then.

I've previously loaded custom ROMs on my HTC phones, but never bothered with changing a launcher.
Is there anything I'll miss about the Samsung standard?

As I'm not used to it yet, I guess now is a good time to change it!

On 5x5 grid with 4 icons plus the apps icon in my dock the icons are the same size as all the others.

I took the plunge and tried Nova - LOVE IT!
Kicking myself that I hadn't used it before, so thanks very much for the tip.
