Galaxy S7 Active model, launch

The U.S. carrier AT&T is launching the carrier exclusive model of the Galaxy S7, the Galaxy S7 Active. This is a tougher, rugged, version of the standard AT&T S7 model and comes with a whopping 4,000 mAh battery, a 5.1" screen with a shatter proof polycarbonate layer and 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage with card slot as well. The model also has a fingerprint scanner in the Home button. I am afraid that it is still using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. Launch date is scheduled for the 10th June.

Phils review posted yesterday is really good.
Bottom line is an extra $100 for built in mil810 case(more or less), 30% larger battery, Active shortcut key & the polycarbonate layer on the screen.

On an Exynos 8890 chipset with an unlocked and rootable bootloader, no carrier modifications and none of the mega carrier bloatware that AT&T insist on, it would be the dogs danglies!
