Can I use both SIMs for data in a Samsung Galaxy S7 Dual Sim?

Hi, I'm looking to get a Samsung Galaxy S7 Dual Sim phone.

I understand that I can have both SIMs on at the same time for voice and text, that's fine.

I also understand that I can only use 1 SIM at a time for my data connection.

What I would like to know is how I switch the data connection between the SIM cards. I've heard that the second SIM slot only supports 2G. Does that mean that, if I want to use the card in the second SIM slot for 4G then I have to take it out and swap them over?

Thanks

Probably if unlocked. Mine is carrier locked so SIM1 is the only one with data option. There is a switch for selecting which SIM to use data but it's locked in my unit.

Thanks, I guess I'm hoping that is actually because you're carrier locked. That type of problem is what I'm concerned about happening if only 1 sim supports data...
