Hi All,

As per other post ( New to Android with an S3 - CSC ) I am new to this forum and to the S3.

I have found an irritating issue, which could me who is maybe doing something wrong, but each time the phone goes to sleep, then when I wake it up the selected WiFi network is no longer selected "says not in range" despite not having moved the S3 and having full signal.
I can only re-slect the same network by turning WiFi of and then back on.

I attached screen shot from "About device" in case that can help...

Suggestions?

Thanks so much - Steen

This is a well known bug on th SIII, one solution is to keep wifi on during sleep. I had the same problem but mine strangely fixed itself. If you search the xda developers forum some people have posted various fixes for it, with varying degrees of success.

Hi gwappa,

Thanks and oops, did not search good enough then, sorry for this!
What the better search criteria for this bug?

Will check out the xda developers forum.

I tried first to keep on during sleep, but then I found the battery drained fast...

Cheers Steen

try settings, tap the word "wifi" not the switch, tap advanced which takes you to this

Better try battery saving apps like Juice defender which turn on/off wi-fi when not in use, this might help.

its all in the settings mate.
everything those apps do can be done by yourself without wasting power and cpu on an app ;)

Battery Saving Apps dont actually work because they are always running in the background which uses your battery and slows your device down.
