It depends on which Galaxy tablet you own, but most of the time if your TV supports Miracast (or it's a Samsung Smart TV that supports Mirroring) you can mirror your screen if both devices are in the same WiFi.

If not, you'd need an MHL cable (microUSB to HDMI) and use the HDMI port on your TV for this. Remember, MHL needs external power, so you'd have to connect it to an USB port as well or a charger, and depending on your tablet model is the version of MHL cable you need or if your tablet supports HDMI output at all.
