Why can't I view photos or video sent from iPad/iPhone to my Samsung Tab 4?

can't view photos or video sent from ipad/iPhone to my Samsung tab 4

New android user, is there something I'm missing because anytime someone with an iPad emails me a photo or video it can't be viewed. I'm using windows live mail on a Samsung tab 4. All I get is a prompt to preview or save attachments and then a blank screen for photos and "application can be performed " for videos. Thankful for any help.

Welcome to Android Central! For videos, it's probably because of an incompatible format. iOS records in Quicktime format, which can't be played using the stock Android video player (although you might be able to with a 3rd party video player).
