No more clash of clans notifications

I believe this began with the last software update. I have tried reinstalling app and manager. I'm currently using KitKat 4.4.4. On samsung galaxy note 4 I've also tried it on my wife galaxy s5 running 5.0.1. I have reset the device have even gone into recovery mode and reflash the firmware. I get notifications for the app on my phone just not to the watch anymore. I assume this is an issue with the manager app this is just about the last straw with this finicky product. I'm guessing I just have to wait until the app updates again and hope it works. Has anybody noticed any other issues with notifications since the last update
