Yes both my wife's phone and mine are affected. Our roof blocks the signal so we use a microcell from at&t. My laptop and iPads show our location just fine. It's just our phones that are having the problem since the oreo update. I will try the battery saving method and see if it helps. thanks!

I'm having the exact same problem here too. I turn location off then back on and it's fixed. PITA if you ask me. It does it at least once a day. Hopefully they issue a fix soon.

I'm wondering if there is an app or setting on the s3 that I can use to find my s8+. It beeps when I'm out of Bluetooth range but I'd like to ping it or have the phone make an audible sound when I'm scouring the house looking for it!

Check out the ram mount x grip windshield mount. It's built like a tank and doesn't wiggle even on bumpy roads. Worked great with my note 4 and other phones. I have the powder coated aluminum one with a longer extension arm.

My AT&T GN2 has been doing this for some time as well. It's irritating because it only happens to certain contacts on my phone. Sometimes when I have missed calls from numbers not stored as contacts it does it as well. I turned my phone in landscape and they show up (thanks for the tip!)...
