I think the features are awesome, and any one of them has to be better than my current 4 year old undersized, slow, no good features, phone! Mostly, the bigger screen, along with a much, much faster processor sound really great.

I just got the LG Optimus Slider when it was on sale for $19.99. I haven't activated it yet so I'm just using wifi. It's my first smartphone and I really like it (especially for the price). I have it rooted and custom ROM on it. People who were on the $25 plan said if they did the phone...

How many people did you talk to at Mobily? Do they have a location there you could take the phone in to? Sounds like it's on their end, since you say wifi works, plus everything working before you left. Anyway, sorry I couldn't help and hope you get it fixed.

I use Link2SD, but I'm pretty sure your phone would have to be rooted. There's Apps2SD that might work for you if Link2SD doesn't.

Thanks very much, I really appreciate the reply. I couldn't find any specific instructions for flashing this particular phone and so the instructions I found had you format everything but the card. So I will definitely just wipe cache & dalvik cache only this time.

I successfully rooted my Slider, installed the BobZhome recovery tool, did a backup, and everything was fine. Then I installed the Mobster rom, and it said it successfully installed and so I rebooted the phone. Now the phone won't turn on. I finally got LGMobile Support Tools to recognize it...
